The Arts Club Event - 28/06/2006

Our second event as an established Society took place in the Arts Club on Dover Street. This time we had secured the sponsorship of MacDonald & Company enabling us to put on a much more extravagent event. The Arts Club was a fantastic venue as it provided a formal location but in a very relaxed setting, which could accommodate 150 people. This is the best turn out we have had, with the venue reaching full capacity, allowing the committee to collect business information of many more attendees than before from a much more diverse group of people. The fact that MacDonald and Company had supplied enough financial backing to arrange a free bar with some canapés meant that we expected a slightly better turn out than the previous event, and we were right. We had current Oxford Brookes students, graduate surveyors, surveyors, associates, partners and directors, even with the odd lecturer thrown in. It was a very promising event that we hope to repeat annually, with the same sponsor. This event proved to be a very worthwhile investment of time and effort as feedback has been positive and our membership base is growing day by day......
